The Kenai Mountains run the length of the peninsula, outlining the region's majestic landscape, while the gigantic Harding Ice Field dominates the southern peninsula. The Chugach National Forest, the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge and the Kenai Fjords National Park also provide a scenic backdrop for visitors traveling around the peninsula. Roughly 54,000 people reside in the area, which is larger than the states of Delaware, Rhode Island, and Maryland combined. If Alaska is your next destination, don't miss the rugged beauty, the fantastic fishing and the great fun that send locals to the Kenai Peninsula.
