Kenai River Service Directory
The Kenai Peninsula offers a variety of services to the angler depending on what town they are near. Starting in Cooper Landing an angler can find a variety of convenience stores, a gas station, several small tackle shops, a few restaurants, and plenty of guided angling. Fishing licenses can be bought at many of these locations. Traveling further down the road to Sterling will provide a similar scope of services as Cooper Landing.
Soldotna is the next city on the river and here you will find the greatest variety and quantity of services. From major tackle shops like Soldotna Trustworthy Hardware to grocery store chains like Fred Meyer, a plethora of restaurants, lots of places to gas up and several nice campgrounds, Soldotna is the place to go to get what you need before heading out to the river. Kenai is the city closest to the mouth of the river and has a similar set of services, just in less quantity than Soldotna.
